Here is the newest video from P!nk… Sober! What a great video!

This is a great video! P!nk explores the boundries of her sexualty and dealing with life in general.   The visuals are amazing and it is a great contrast to “So What”.  This video is a little more serious.  Great job Pink!

All I have to say is AWESOME.  Of all the performers on the bill, P!nk stole the show.  Check out this performance!

Look how far the mic is away from her mouth… and she still belts out this tune! Sober is her new single and she is dynomite in this performance.  In watching her other performances, you can tell that she hates having to be on TV because she has to “mute” herself and not do the things she normally does, because she is on TV and the networks want her to behave.

Awesome performance P!nk!

Synopsis

A teenage girl risks everything when she falls in love with the “forbidden” boy at school… a vampire.

Review

I have to say, the movie was well done.  There is alot of things that are missing from the book, but the movie is still well done.  Alot of people are saying these are “romance” novels, but there is plenty of action to keep everyone interested in the movie.

I am now into the fourth and last book the series, so it is hard to remember everything that happened in the book.  With the movie lasting just over 2 hours, they could have made this movie four hours or 2 different movies… and it would have been great.

I found alot of the “important” scenes in the book were really short on the screen.  The fight with James, the baseball scene, the scene when Bella is in the hospital and the scenes where Edward and Bella are alone are really long in the book, but really short in the movie. I guess they had to keep it that way and you get the point of what is going on in the movie to keep interest in what is going on.

With the movie grossing almost 80 million dollars in the opening weekend, it is pretty safe to say that the sequel will be just as popular.

Happy Watching!

Synopsis

A girl finds she is forced to educate herself on the etiquette of wooing the opposite sex when she finally meets Mr. Right and not Mr. Right Now.

Review

Cameron, Christina and Selma put togther is a riot.  Basically a “chick flick” but lots of guy fun, this flick is one if the top comedy’s in my collection.  Christina (Diaz) is a player and is just looking for a good time, but after meeting a stranger in a bar trying to hook her friend up (Blair) she becomes hooked on Peter.

There are lots of hilarious one liners and funny parts in the movie, the writer’s did a great job with this movie.  They kept the lingo current, the happenings of these three chicks real and finally answer the burning question… YES girls like sex too!

There are too many hilarious moments and one liners to go repeating them all right now, but trust me, if you haven’t seen this movie yet, you are going to piss your pants laughing so hard.

Happy Watching!

mummy

Synopsis

In the Far East, trouble-seeking father-and-son duo Rick and Alex O’Connell unearth the mummy of the first Chinese Emperor of Qin — a shape-shifting entity who was cursed by a witch centuries ago… if legend is true and he is brought back… earth as we know it is doomed.

Review

In the third or fourth installment of the Mummy Series, they bring back some of the cast (Frasier, Hannah etc…) and bring in some great martial artists (Lee, Juan) and try to use the Mummy Name to make another blockbuster. It is the same story line as the others, an ancient curse brings back one of the greatest enemies of all time.

The action in the movie is quite exciting, there are lots of twists and turns that keep the action and adventure moving in the story.  The O’Connell’s rely on their sharp wits, breathtaking action moves and a little bit of luck to track down the the enemy and try and send them back to his tomb.

There are some things that make the story unbelieveable… the biggest being that their son is now old enough to be resurrecting an ancient Emperor, but his parents are still in the “adventure” business and are nimble enough to run around dodging bullets and spears to be able to join him in his quest.  Barring that and a few other small details, the movie is full of action like The Mummy and The Mummy Returns and has some great visual effects.

This movie doesn’t completely fit the mold as an ancient egyptian curse movie, but it is fresh idea to keep the franchise alive without involving the washed up Imotep.

Synopsis

A frustrated office worker learns that he is the son of a professional assassin, and that he shares his father’s superhuman killing abilities.  He is bound by the “code” of the brotherhood… but will it kill him?

Review

This was a great movie! I was very impressed and refreshed that they came up with a great assassin movie that has you switching sides all throughout the movie.

James McAvoy (Wesley) is a relative unknown and is teamed up with Angelina Jolie (Fox) and Morgan Freeman (Sloan) to make an awesome movie.  Wesley makes a great office worker loser turned assassin.  He joins his brotherhood when he finds out his father was an assassin as well.

Everything is turned upside down when he finds out Sloan is playing him and the team and is picking and choosing the targets at will.  The storyline is well done, the screen play well written and there is tonnes of action and twists and turns to keep you guessing throughout the movie.  I actually went and saw this movie twice, hoping to find a way that Fox doesn’t bite it at the end so they could make a sequel… that is how good the movie is!

Happy Watching!

twilight_book_coverWell, I have just finished Twilight… and it should make an excellent movie… if it keeps all of the elements the same as the book.

It did start off slow… and god knows I have read a few stories about vampires.  I was facinated with vampires when I was younger, so I like to read stories and watch movies about vampires to see what is new and what people can come up with.  The best vampire movie that I have watched in a long time was Dracula 2000.  Mayer comes up with a whole different world of vampires, so it will be interesting to see how it is played out on the big screen.

Bella and Edward make the classic love story, except Edward is a vampire.  Everyone is afraid of Edward and the Cullen family, except for Bella… she finds them interesting.  As the story progresses, you see that there is nothing for Bella to be scared about… well except Edward wanting to eat her for lunch… but of course, he holds back and finds the strength to resist.

Of course, the “other vampires” don’t see it the same way and Bella becomes the target.  Is there such a thing as “civilized” vampires? There sure is!  Meyer creates a world where vampires roam and the humans don’t even know they are there.

The end of the book brings alot of action and confusion as Bella is “hunted” and there are many plot twists and turns.  Time to start the next book in the series… New Moon.

Happy Reading!

Monica – From Fear To Victory Review November 12, 2008

monica

Now retired, Monica Seles had a great career. With 53 WTA Singles Titles, 9 Grand Slam Singles Titles and held the #1 Ranking in the world for 178 weeks… she was on top of the Woman’s Tennis World.  There is no doubt that she would have set the record books for grand slam single’s titles and had a longer streak at #1 if it wasn’t for Hamburg.

Monica was on top of the game and dominating in every tournament she entered.  She was part of a new age of tennis player.  She hit hard from both sides with a 2 fisted backhand and forehand and was relentless in dominating every player she faced.  She was considered to be the first of the “big babe” tennis players.  Davenport, Capriati, the Williams sisters… they all saw how well and how hard she hit the ball from both sides and knew they would have to emulate her if they were going to compete in the tennis world.

From 1991 to 1993, Seles won 22 titles and reached 33 finals out of the 34 tournaments she played overall.  She compiled an amazing 55-1 record at Grand Slam tournaments during that time. In her first four years on the map (1989-1992), Seles had a record of 231-25 while collecting 30 titles.  Who can argue that she was on her way to being one of the greatest tennis champions of all time?  She had 8 grand slam titles before the age of 20… Monica was on her way to being one of the greatest woman’s tennis champions of all time… a rivalry for the ages was heating up… it was going to be Steffi VS Seles… until the unthinkable happens. Synopsis

In the game of seduction, there is only one rule: Never fall in love with anyone.

Review

In this remake of Dangerous Liasions (1988), Cruel Intentions puts all of the young, talented stars together for a blockbuster movie.  Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon, Selma Blair, Sean Patrick Thomas, Tara Reid and Joshua Jackson headline a blockbuster cast and make a dynomite movie.

Kathryn bets her brother that he can’t bag the virgin Annette, despite all of his conquests of sleeping with anyone he desires.  There are many other subplots and twisted things that make up this movie, but that is the major plot line.  I have to give props to the writers of the screen play and the director, they did a great job showing that young people of this day and age aren’t all drug toting burnouts but good people that can be intellegent and articulate… and also manipulate anyone to get what they want.

Synopsis

The exploits of a group of men and women who are the police officers, firemen, and paramedics in the fictional 55th Precinct of New York City.  A day in the life of a city worker in New York City can be tough… and this drama shows you just how rough it can be!

Review

I caught onto this TV Drama in Season 3 of the show, so I have gone back to see what I missed in the first season of this great TV show.

Basically, it is the day in the life of a group of Paramedics, Police Officers and Fireman in the 55 Precinct of New York City.  The show moves back and fourth through all of the drama, accidents and goings on in the streets of New York.  In four words: I Love This Show.

It is one of the very few shows that I used to watch on TV, I am a big movie fan.  I enjoyed this show because the acting is out of this world.   The actors and actresses that put together this show compliment each other and are put together to show a “family” in their respected professions.  The “cops”, “firemen” and “paramedics” have their own little worlds… and occasionally clash with each other to make a really great drama.
