Synopsis

When wealthy industrialist Tony Stark is forced to build an armored suit after a life-threatening incident, he ultimately decides to use its technology to fight against evil after using his millions to build weapons to anyone who will buy them.

Review

The action in this movie was outstanding!  There was alot of glam and fireworks in this movie, I have to hand it to the special effects team… they did an amazing job.  Unfortunately, they had nothing to do with the plot or the screenplay in the movie… which was definitely not what made this movie its money.

Tony Stark, the rich industrialist… builds weapons for war… definitely an interesting theme, considering Don’t Mess with The Zohan and Eagle Eye also tackled war or terrorism… whichever way you want to look at it.  Did any of these movies do a good job? I have to say no.

Being a Marvel Comics collector, I know the story of Iron Man.  Yes… I understand that it is the movies and they have to change things (I mean look at X-Men… need I say more to how much is changed?) but I digress. Tony Stark builds the suit to save his life, that is true… but he is clearly not going to leave the blue prints lying around for other people to find, much less tell everyone in the world that he is Iron Man… HELLO!

The movie was so far from the comic book, I can’t say that I really enjoyed the movie.  The screenplay and the plot of the movie were very far fetched… although they did get some well known actors/actresses to give the movie some hype.

The action was great… but for me, it didn’t keep it real to the original Iron Man story line (from the comics) to really say it was a good movie.
